When is the best time to engage a client side project manager?
The best time to engage professional assistance is before you speak to any Architects or Builders. We assist you to understand your budget and provide a clear scope and brief to ensure that they clearly understand your project brief. We have great contacts and negotiation power that will really set your project off for success.
What if I already have my own Architect or Builder that I would like to use on my project?
Build Fresh can work with your contacts or introduce you to some others – whatever works best for you and your project.
Do I need a builder for my renovation?
Yes! You need a licenced builder for all renovations over $10,000 and your builder must provide their licence number with the same company name attached to it. They must also provide VMIA Warranty Insurance to you BEFORE you pay your deposit for your works. This is to cover you if they die, abscond or go bankrupt.
Do you project manage for Owner Builders? I want to save cost and be an Owner Builder.
Build Fresh does not work on unlicensed projects. If you think it’s going to be cheaper, think again. In hindsight, you may have been better off financially to have a stress free build performed by a licensed builder. A licensed builder will provide a 10 year warranty on works.
